Questions
Frequently asked questions
Do I need to give my name or contact details to see quotes?
No — the quote tool requires only gender, birth date, self-reported health level, tobacco use, desired coverage amount, and term period. Those six pieces of information provide enough context for carriers to return quotes. If you decide to apply, we then collect your name, address, and detailed health history.
Are the monthly prices shown the price I will pay?
The monthly amounts displayed reflect what each carrier quotes for your selected health class. The carrier sets the final premium once underwriting is complete, which might confirm, upgrade, or change your class. This site provides estimates for comparison only and is not an insurance offer or rate guarantee.
What happens when I click Apply?
When you select Apply, you move into a secure online application powered by the carriers' platform. It prefills your answers from the quote. You can pause and return later, and you sign electronically. Susman Insurance Agency, a licensed California insurance agency (License 0B75129), processes the application.
Will I need a medical exam?
Depends on the carrier, coverage amount, and your responses. Younger applicants seeking standard amounts often qualify for accelerated underwriting with no exam required. Some carriers can issue decisions within hours. Each quote displays whether an exam is required, potentially required, or not needed for that specific product.
Is a longer term better?
A term should protect the period when your family or business would suffer financially if you were not here: while a mortgage remains unpaid, children still need support, or a business loan is outstanding. Longer terms preserve rates for more years but cost more monthly. The quote tool lets you test 10, 15, 20, 25, and 30-year options.
Does this site sell my information?
No. The quote tool doesn't request contact information, we don't sell or share visitor data, and our measurement system is cookieless. Check the privacy page for complete details on what information we collect and who can access it.
